I was well into my forties when I started working with clay.
In order to gain as much knowledge and experience, and as quickly as possible, I enrolled in two different schools simultaneously.
The purchase of a secondhand kiln was the stepping-stone to setting up my studio at home.

As a child I was fascinated by the film "Mary Poppins".  Not only are the music and lyrics "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious", the combination of reality and fiction is realy stunning. The words deranged, madness or folly do not cross the vieuwer's mind.
This is how "The Devil and I" feels to me: - a scary fictional figure that I can give a kind of warm human appearance.

The series "Close" has a psychological background.

The sea and certainly animals are both also childhood favorites, thus "Me and the Sea" was just waiting for a trigger to become reality.

In my studio I am able to surround myself with all my favorite things - devils, puzzles, animals, the sea...

Marvelous!
